Hello, and welcome to my NEW Linda Walsh Originals Dolls - Handmade Dolls & Crafts website!
I have loved dolls, sewing, crafting, designing floral arrangements, and genealogy since I was a little girl. In fact, there was never a doll that I didn't love and want to add to my collection. I was always making or sewing something and always wanted to design my own dolls. I was able to do so by creating Linda Walsh Originals where I sell my own doll pattern designs.
However, since I've been sewing and crafting for over 40 years I've also made thousands of handmade dolls & crafts. Some of the dolls are cloth, some are wood, some are a combination of wood and cloth, and some are porcelain or clay. Some have faces and some don't.
Each of the dolls has a page with "more information" on it. Their page contains a full description of the doll and their outfit, and there is a full photo shot of the doll, a close-up photo of the doll's face, and a closeup photo of the outfit.
All of my Linda Walsh Originals handmade designs are available as patterns on my main Linda Walsh Originals website or available as "instant download e-patterns" on my Linda Walsh Originals E-Patterns website. All of the finished dolls and crafts that are for sale here have been made by me. You might notice that for most of the dolls or craft items shown there is only one of them. For a few I might have made two. The reason for this is that I like variety versus quantity. In other words, I get bored easily.
If you are a reader of my Linda’s Blog then you know that I’ve never seen a doll that I haven't loved. It doesn't matter to me what the category is or what the doll is made of. It doesn't matter if they are beautiful or down right ugly. I love them all and I want them all. Best of all, I love creating them.
If you click through all my pages you’ll notice that I’ve made quite a few dolls or craft items of various types and categories. Some of the dolls that are for sale are my own Linda Walsh Originalsdesigns. Other dolls or craft items that are for sale are based on another designers’ pattern.
In my NEW Linda Walsh Originals Dolls - Handmade Dolls & Crafts website we have Victorian dolls, Colonial dolls, Vintage dolls, Country dolls, Primitive dolls, Raggedies (i.e.: Raggedy Ann and Raggedy Andy dolls), Boy dolls, Girl dolls, Animals, Woodland dolls & crafts, and Clowns. We also have Fall dolls & crafts, Winter dolls & crafts, Summer dolls & crafts, Spring dolls & crafts. Plus, there are Halloween dolls & crafts, Thanksgiving dolls & crafts, Christmas dolls & crafts, 4th of July dolls & crafts, ornaments, and other holiday dolls & crafts.
This means we have dolls and crafts of every kind including scarecrows, witches, ghosts, pilgrims, Victorians, Colonial women and Colonial men, Frankenstein’s, Santa’s, angels, Uncle Sam’s, snowmen, snow-ladies, pumpkins, dogs, cats, bears, clowns, reindeer, deer or moose, penguins, ewe’s, rabbits or bunnies, Dracula’s, turkeys, elves, ornaments, carolers, and maybe even a leprechaun. We have a wild mix to say the least.
Plus, to go along with our new website we have a blog called “Dolls Blog by Linda Walsh Originals.” Our “Dolls Blog” is filled with stories of the dolls and crafts I've made, doll making "Dollie 101 Tips and Tricks", sewing and crafting trends, my sewing and crafting experiences, historical perspectives on sewing and crafting, and anything else that I might like to tell you. I promise it will be fun and you'll have a wonderful visit.
